Born and raised in Folkestone, Matt Morsia is a highly successful Fitness Influencer and Professional YouTuber – with a dedicated fitness social media platform called ‘MattDoesFitness’ which has over 3 million followers across YouTube and Instagram.
He is a former international athlete, who specialised in long and triple jump as well as powerlifting. For nine years, long and triple jump were Matt’s main focus. He was ranked within the top 3 in the country in 2011, winning a bronze medal at the English Championships.
In 2012, a lower back injury forced him to retire from the sport and therefore miss out on his dream of competing at the London Olympic Games. That didn’t stop Matt, as he pivoted to powerlifting and won a silver medal at the European Championships in 2016.
After retiring from international competitions, Matt became a PE Teacher – before ultimately leaving the job to focus on his growing YouTube fitness channel, which as of writing, has amassed over 355 million.
In 2020, Matt released his first book, The 24/7 Body, which became a Sunday Times Bestseller upon its release.
Matt Morsia is ‘Legend’ in the new BBC One series of Gladiators.
Matt has made several television appearances, including on Would I Lie to You?, House of Games, and Comic Relief.
